Witch’s Brew

Traditional skin care the way grandma used to make it

About

04-11-07_1058.jpgMy products are based on the ancient traditional recipes and practices of our foremothers. Before the advent of the Industrial Revolution and the witch hunts, women had their own rooms, commonly called ’still rooms’, separate from the main kitchen where they used to ferment, pickle and brew drinks, foods and produce medicines of all kinds. They also created and produced their own cosmetics. These were the golden years of health, nutrition, and of course, beauty.

We are only just now realising the importance and nutritional benefits of lacto fermentation and ancient preparation methods for nourishing and health giving foods, drinks and herbal remedies. I have gone one step further and have started using these methods for modern day skin care. The results have been astonishing and deeply satisfying.
