Witch’s Brew

Traditional skin care the way grandma used to make it

New Formula

By Karen on November 1, 2007

Well its been exciting these last few weeks. I ‘ve had orders from the Happy High Herbs stores in west end Brisbane and Nimbin. However despite the preservative, the potency of the creams seems to be unstoppable and quite a few have ‘exploded’ due to the warmer weather. I’ve had comments from friends and family regarding the smell to the anti-ageing cream in particular, and have put two and two together. Too much whey! I would like to assure previous customers that the sour smell does not mean the cream has gone off, just that it is incredibly potent! If you are unhappy, please email me and I will be more than happy to send you another pot of my new batch, once they are made.
I’ll be using only a small amount of whey, enough for fermentation, (based on similar recipes from Nourishing Traditions) and aloe vera leaf juice will take up the slack. A pretty good substitution. I’ll be using aloe straight off the plant where I can find it.
Take care,
Karen.

    HI Karen
Just received your new formula anti-ageing cream and it’s pure gold. It’s silky smooth and smells delicious. No wonder you’re calling it edible. Thanks for sending the products so quickly.
    Cheers
    Leisa
