I have a new website up and running. Its at http://www.thewitchsbrew.net
I’ve also been researching and experimenting with shampoo bars. They are not up and running yet, but still gestating! I’m very excited about them though. The cleanser bar will be more castor oil and olive oil based, and quite simple. The shampoo bar will have ghassoul lava clay, bee pollen, molasses and gelatin, and lard.
I have made up a new chocolate body butter, and the first batch sold to friends and stores before I had a chance to post them on my ebay store. It is delicious!! More will be up in the next few days.
More news as it comes,
xoxo Karen.

Traditional skin care the way grandma used to make it, ay????
My grandmother used to say, “Listen girl, you wont be here in a hundred years so don’t have your self pampering regimes, leaving a big dent in the worlds resources. Keep it quick, clean and simple. There is only one good soap, shampoo, moisturiser - the rest are just gigs by big corporation or bored housewives.
… ghassoul lava clay, bee pollen, molasses, chocolate and blessings. Sheesh. Get a real job.

Hey Darrus,
Thanks for the feedback. Your grandma was wrong though. I’m not a big corporation or a bored housewife, and I will still be here in a hundred years, but I like her basic premise. Its a reason I don’t make serums, toners, and spritzers. The soaps are new to me, so I admit I have gone a bit overboard there. :-) Its fun to experiment though.
Making my creams is a creative outlet and I love doing them, and I love using traditional ingredients. By the way, what sort of job would you recommend I get?

Grandma would be way ahead of her time if she said, “leaving a big dent in the world’s resources”. My grandma didn’t even think of the world as one thing. Self pampering is a form of self loving. If we all loved ourselves a little more, we wouldn’t dream of doing to ourselves, our families and our Earth what we have been doing. I’ve got a job for you Karen: how about being a Super Hero. We’ll call you ‘Pamper: Queen of Self Loving”.
